Solution
Underwriting & Applicant Verification Support
TEKS supports underwriting teams by verifying applicant information, conducting follow-up calls, documenting results, and reducing administrative workload — so your internal team can focus on credit decisions.
TEKS Solutions staffs underwriting verification programs with bilingual agents dedicated to one client, working under that client's name and inside its systems, from an operations floor in the Monterrey metropolitan area that holds Central Standard Time all year, with contracting and account management through TEKS Solutions LLC in Arlington, Texas.

In depth
How this program actually runs.
The clerical half of underwriting
Verification is employer calls placed to an independently confirmed number, income calculated from paystubs or bank statements by your method, references reached, identity documents checked for consistency, and stipulations closed out with the document attached. It has a procedure and a right answer, which is exactly what makes it delegable.
The wage data makes the case. In the Bureau of Labor Statistics' May 2025 occupational estimates, loan interviewers and clerks earn a median of $50,020 a year while insurance underwriters — the closest published proxy for credit underwriting talent — earn $81,370. An underwriter chasing paystubs is doing the cheaper work at the more expensive rate while the pending queue grows behind them.
Why the workload is rising
Lower-score files carry more stipulations and more follow-up, and that is where volume is growing. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York records 16.1% of second-quarter 2026 auto originations going to borrowers below a 620 credit score, with the median score on newly originated auto loans down seven points in the quarter.
Slow verification shows up as deals aging in pending status and dealers calling to ask what is holding the file. The metric that matters is time to a complete file, not decisions per day.
Escalate, never decide
When something does not reconcile — an altered document, a number that reaches the applicant instead of the employer, deposits that do not match stated pay — the team escalates with the evidence attached. It never resolves a discrepancy on its own, and it never makes a credit decision. Your underwriters keep every one.
Handling applicant data
Agents work inside your loan origination system under role-based access you grant and can revoke, and documents stay where your retention policy applies. Calls to employers and references disclose only what is needed to verify. How verified information is used in the credit decision, including fair-lending and consumer-reporting obligations, remains yours — have your compliance team review the scripts before launch.
How it runs
Your name, your systems, your policies.
TEKS agents work as an extension of your team — logged into the platforms you authorize, following the procedures you approve, with every note and outcome documented where your managers already look.
- 01In your name
- Customers hear your company, not a vendor. The relationship and the account stay with you.
- 02In your systems
- Agents work inside the CRM, DMS, servicing or accounting platform you authorize, so the record of the work is already where your team looks for it.
- 03To your policies
- Procedures, scripts, escalation paths and compliance rules are yours. We train to them and audit against them.
- 04Reported to your managers
- Activity and outcomes are visible in real time to the people who run your operation.
Classification
First-party, under your name.
Whether a specific engagement is classified as first-party servicing or third-party collection under the FDCPA depends on its structure and is determined with your counsel. TEKS runs every program to Regulation F standards regardless of classification.
The operating standards each program is held to are listed on the collections support page.
